CaliVote is a mobile app designed to simplify voter registration for California residents. It offers a platform where users can easily check their eligibility, complete the registration process, and track their registration status. The app streamlines the often tedious voter registration process, making it more accessible, secure, and quick for users to get engaged with California’s voting system.

The goal
The goal was to create a user-friendly app that guides users through the voter registration process in a simple, straightforward way. CaliVote aims to increase voter registration by eliminating barriers and encouraging more Californians to engage in the democratic process.

Voter registration in California can often be complex and time-consuming, with many individuals feeling overwhelmed by the amount of information required. CaliVote addresses this by offering a simple, user-friendly platform that allows users to check their eligibility, complete their registration, and track their status—all in one easy-to-use app, reducing stress and confusion along the way.

I conducted interviews with young Californians and first-time voters to identify common pain points in the voter registration process. Many users expressed frustration with traditional methods of registration, citing long forms, confusing eligibility criteria, and difficulties tracking their registration status. Based on these insights, I focused on designing a seamless and informative experience that walks users through every step of the process.
